ARCHIVE

“Bacterium” (2014)

The human body is made up of trillions of cells; most of which are susceptible to bacterial infection. This collection was inspired by the micrographs taken to study bacteria such as Bacillus Anthracis, Haemophilus, Mycobacterium Leprae, Salmonella Typhi and Mycobacterium Marinum. These micrographs use various types of gram staining that result in pink, red and purple colours to help identify the bacteria.
